Municipal Court Warrants in Hardin County
Municipal judges handle city-ordinance and fine-only state-law matters within their local jurisdiction. They can issue summonses and arrest warrants; the city police or municipal officer may serve process. The court clerk keeps the citation, bond, payment, and warrant entries for that city's cases.
Hardin County has four located municipal courts, in Kountze, Lumberton, Silsbee, and Sour Lake. Rose Hill Acres has no located municipal-court warrant page. A city record can remain separate from the Sheriff's Office and from a neighboring JP case.
Hardin County Silsbee Municipal Warrants
Silsbee's Municipal Court page describes traffic and parking citations, city ordinances, summonses, arrest warrants issued as the judge directs, appearance bonds, hearings, and court records. This is a concrete city-court process, not a county sheriff lookup.
The official page links to a TrafficPayment vendor screen. Research inspection hit a redirect loop, so the current field labels and ability to clear a warrant were not certified. Call the clerk at (409) 385-7991 to confirm status and required steps.
See the Silsbee Municipal Court page for its own services and contact.
Hardin County Municipal Warrant Courts
The current directory and city sources show Kountze, Lumberton, Silsbee, and Sour Lake municipal courts. A city court can handle ordinance and fine-only state cases, while a precinct JP handles its own traffic and justice-court matters. Read the citation to select the record office.
Payment rules differ by city: Kountze's reviewed notice warns about plea consequences, and Lumberton warns that paying one of several citations may leave another warrant active. Those terms should not be generalized across all four court systems.
| City | Court contact | Documented matters |
|---|---|---|
| Kountze | (409) 246-4168 | City traffic, ordinances, and fine-only cases |
| Lumberton | (409) 755-1491 | City citations; judge walk-in hours are posted |
| Silsbee | (409) 385-7991 | Traffic, parking, summonses, warrants, and bonds |
| Sour Lake | Clerk: (409) 287-3574 | City ordinances and fine-only municipal matters |
Hardin County Lumberton Municipal Warrant Routing
Lumberton's police page directs city traffic-warrant questions to Municipal Court at (409) 755-1491, option 9. City citations and county or Highway Patrol tickets are not one file: the latter route to a JP office. The clerk says payment plans for outstanding citations or warrants must be requested outside the online payment flow.
The city court's portal lists three citation-location options after selecting Municipal Court, but the live citation screen was unavailable during research. Ask the clerk about every citation in warrant status; the portal warns that paying one does not clear several.
Use the Lumberton Municipal Court page and its official-linked payment portal for the city-specific instructions.
How to Check a Hardin County Municipal Warrant
Contact the court on the citation first, using the name and citation or cause number. Kountze has a payment interface, Lumberton a city portal, and Silsbee and Sour Lake official payment links, but a payment page is not necessarily a warrant search. No countywide city-warrant portal was located.
Ask the municipal clerk whether the page accepts the specific case and what record will confirm a recall. If the citation names a JP, switch to that precinct rather than expecting a city court to update the county docket.
- Read the ticket for the city, court, issuer, citation number, and appearance date.
- Call the named municipal clerk and ask whether a warrant or missed setting is recorded.
- Use the city's official portal only for its posted search or payment function.
- Ask the court about a walk-in, bond, plan, reset, or written request for an existing file.
- If the citation is not from a city court, call the listed JP or use the official county directory.
Hardin County Kountze Municipal Warrant Payments
Kountze's official-linked payment page says warrants are not payable through the portal and directs the person to contact the Municipal Court. The screen asks for name, license details, ticket or case number, payment amount, and a passcode for eligible citations.
It warns that payment is a no-contest plea and waiver of trial and counsel rights. A payment rejection can also leave a processing fee unpaid. If the matter is in warrant status, call (409) 246-4168 and ask for the court-approved appearance or payment route.
Hardin County Municipal Warrant Record Fields
No municipal court in Hardin County publishes a shared sample warrant record or countywide number format. Ask the clerk for the cause or citation number, issuing judge, warrant label, amount, status, and any appearance date. Do not infer recall from a payment screen or a receipt from another court.
A citation lookup may show a balance without describing the judge's order. Request confirmation from the court that holds the file, especially when a ticket or warrant could belong to a different city or JP precinct.
| Warrant / cause | Local format not published; use the ticket's citation number. |
|---|---|
| Charge / trigger | City ordinance, traffic, fine-only, or missed appearance matter. |
| Issuing court | Name the Kountze, Lumberton, Silsbee, or Sour Lake court. |
| Bond / fine | Confirm amount and acceptable method with that court. |
| Status | Ask if active, served, recalled, or still awaiting an appearance. |
Hardin County Sour Lake Warrant Jurisdiction
Sour Lake's municipal code gives its court jurisdiction over city ordinances and concurrent jurisdiction with JP2 over fine-only state criminal cases. The court holding a citation depends on the issuer and filing. JP4 also serves the Sour Lake area, but its court file is separate.
The Sour Lake police page links to an open-records request and Crime Stoppers, but it does not show a warrant-search form. Its linked TrafficPayment page did not load during research, so call the clerk at (409) 287-3574 before relying on the payment link.
The Sour Lake municipal code describes this local jurisdiction split.
Hardin County City Warrants Stay Court-Specific
No Hardin County active-warrant roster was located, and city warrants may not feed a sheriff page. City judges issue their own municipal process, while municipal officers or other authorized peace officers serve it. The issuing clerk remains the source for the court's current recall, balance, and appearance terms.
A Texas Public Information Act request should ask the city office for an existing record, not ask it to create a countywide list. Juvenile or active-investigation material may be withheld.
Resolving a Hardin County Municipal Warrant
Start with the issuing city clerk. Ask whether payment, an appearance, a bond, payment plan, or reset is allowed and whether the judge must sign a recall order. The policy is not uniform: Kountze says warrants cannot be paid online; Silsbee describes appearance bonds; and Sour Lake publishes no warrant-specific walk-in policy.
- Confirm the warrant label, court, amount, appearance date, and whether a personal appearance is required.
- Ask which payment, plan, bond, or reset option the judge permits.
- Complete the court's terms and keep each receipt or signed order.
- Call back to confirm the warrant recall and any remaining case date.
Warning: A city payment link may not accept warrant cases; confirm the court's required appearance and recall entry before treating a citation as resolved.
